Ride the Train to the Symposium Hotel

Whether you fly into Denver International Airport (DIA) or ride the train to Denver via Amtrak, you can take commuter trains almost directly to the Symposium Hotel.
Catching the heavy rail commuter train, operated by the Regional Transportation District (RTD), from DIA is easy. The station platform is located on the west side of the airport on the lowest level (look for signs). The “A” train leaves DIA on the half hour from 4:00 AM to 11:00 PM and travels to Downtown Denver’s historic Union Station. The trip costs $10 (or less) and takes about 40 minutes. Make time to explore the renovated Union Station.
Amtrak has daily service to Denver.
Getting from Union Station to the Symposium Hotel- the Sheraton Denver West, 360 Union Boulevard, Lakewood, CO- is quite easy via the RTD Light Rail “W” line. The “W” line runs west from Union Station toward Lakewood and ultimately Golden. The “W” line light rail service operates on the half hour from 5:30 AM to 11:55 PM everyday. The trip costs $5.50 (or less) and takes about 40 minutes. Exit the train at the Federal Center Station in Lakewood (second stop from the end). The Symposium Hotel is visible looking to the northwest from the station platform and is about a 10 minute walk.

Active duty military members ride for free on all RTD routes. Discounts are available for those over 65 and/or disabled. Proof is required.
