Contest Model Entries & Security

Enter a Model

Each entrant will complete a short Contest Entry form for each item entered. Forms may be obtained in the contest room and filled out at the time a model is submitted.
Each entry will be entered into the symposium’s official entry log and a receipt provided to the entrant. This receipt will be required to be shown when the entry is claimed following the contest.
In addition, each entrant is encouraged to provide additional information that will be displayed with each entry. This added information should be limited to one 3×5” card, typed or hand-written and prepared prior to arrival at the Symposium to expedite the receipt of entries. Information may include, but is not limited to title or type of model, scratch or kit details, special techniques used, or anything else deemed of interest by the entrant.
Although random touching of any contest model is strictly prohibited, entrants should be aware and agree that Symposium Contest Staff may be required to touch entries as needed for spacing on display tables and for photographing contest winners.

Viewing and Security Procedures

Viewing and voting will be conducted in the hotel’s “Jefferson” room
Entrants must remove all packing containers and packing materials from the contest area immediately after placing their entries.
Packages and Bags will not be permitted in the contest room during viewing hours but may be checked with security.
Touching an entry is strictly prohibited. However, entrants agree that Symposium Contest Staff may be required to touch contest entries as needed for spacing purposes on display tables and for photographing contest winners.
The Contest Room will be staffed continuously during viewing & voting hours and locked down at all other times
Ballot boxes will be kept under supervision in the contest room and all ballots must be submitted by NOON Saturday to be counted. No ballot may be received after 12:00 noon Saturday
Ballots must be dropped directly into the ballot box. Ballots may not be handed to symposium staff to be deposited.

Entry Reclamation

All entries MUST be claimed and removed from the contest room between 12:00 Noon and 4:00 pm on Saturday April 25, 2026, without exception! The corresponding entry receipt must be presented to claim any model
